1st Day  - Thursday 30th June 2022

• Arrival at the airport, welcome and transfer to Florence

• Accommodation in  one of the best  hotels in Florence 

• Stroll through Florence to see monuments, shops, artisan workshops

• (According to the clients’ wishes, visits to exhibitions, museums, private collections or exclusive palazzi can be arranged)

• Aperitivo at sundown on the roof of a Florentine palazzo with incomparable view over the city

• Dinner based on typical dishes matched with quality Tuscan wines, in one of the best restaurants in Florence

• Back to the hotel

2nd Day - Friday 1st July 2022

• Departure for Chianti through the Tuscan countryside

• Visit to the most atmospheric places, artisan workshops, vineyards with wine tasting to savour Chianti’s top quality wines right where they are produced

• Lunch in a typical restaurant in Chianti.

• Arrival in Siena in the afternoon

• Check-in and accommodation in one of the best  hotels  of the destination. 

• Meeting with representatives of one of the contrade (districts) involved in the Palio  who will explain the history and introduce you to the world and culture of this centuries-old tradition which still preserves its undying passion and fascination

• You will attend the “Dress rehearsal of the Race” and your adrenalin will start to rise:

• “Welcome to the Siena of the Palio!”

• "A veglia!" Dinner and evening spent with the participants of that contrada as they await the great day!

3rd Day - Saturday 2nd July 2022

The Palio!

• You can spend the morning in the streets and squares of Siena as it prepares for the Palio, amid its routine daily activities. Alternatively you can soak up the pre-race atmosphere by observing the various stages of the preparations: 

  • 7:30 The Jockeys mass in the Cappella di Piazza del Campo

  • 9:00 Final rehearsal, known as the "Provaccia"

  • 14:00 in the Contrada church   Blessing for both horse and jockey

• Watch the Palio from  Piazza del Campo in order to enjoy every moment of the event 

  • 17:00 historic procession

  • 19:00 La CORSA (the race itself)

• After the victory: "Te deum" of thanksgiving in Siena cathedral

• "Victory Dinner " in the contrada or in a typical Sienese restaurant 

• Back to the hotel

4th Day - Sunday 3rd  July 2022

• The day’s program will be organized according to your flight departure time. It will include visits and excursions to the most atmospheric places in the Sienese Maremma and the Tuscan countryside

• Transfer to the airport in time for your flight
